In September 2000, we opened our first store in New York, where a T-shirt made from what we called "Super Gauze" caught on with people there and quickly became a topic of conversation. That fabric is the root of our Super Gauze today. Refined over many years, our Super Gauze — woven from Supima organic cotton — lets air pass through for a cool touch while still holding in warmth, and carries a smooth, understated sheen, enough that people have come to call it "cotton cashmere."
