We combined back satin — cotton satin used with its reverse side facing out — with old-fashioned nylon that has a matte, slightly crisp hand. The down is washed in soft water to protect the feathers, and only down that passes strict inspections is used. We adjusted the amount again and again to achieve a soft, lofty down jacket.
