The patchwork sewn onto the Ocean Sail denim evokes the image of a yacht’s sail filled with sea breeze. Each piece is stitched with bold zigzags, a design that conveys our affection for denim—and for the ocean itself.
Inspired by the Japanese expression “Appare,” meaning the finest or most splendid, this special finishing is a time-honored process crafted by artisans who dedicate their skill and patience to ensure the highest satisfaction.
The fabric, called Mugihiko, is even lighter than our Rye Mugi denim, which weighs 12.25 oz. It retains the characteristic texture and depth of denim while offering a remarkably light and comfortable feel.
