When you receive this piece, the first thing you should do is touch the fabric. You’ll be surprised and think, “Wow, it’s really textured!” The deep indigo hue comes from Tokushima’s Awa indigo, a traditional Japanese dye. Over time, the rich color will gradually fade, developing a beautifully muted character.

Twenty-five years ago, inspired by vintage denim, we experimented tirelessly to create our original five-pocket jeans. Using exceptionally thick 6.5-count yarn, we wove a rugged, textured denim with an uneven surface. Its charmingly irregular fading embodies the craftsmanship that 45R values so deeply. We loved it so much that we decided to bring it back—thus, “Futatabi (Reborn) 6.5.”
