Sumi Ai, created by layering black dye over indigo, is a black denim made with natural dyes. The overlapping black and indigo create deep shadows and rich dimension. No matter how many times it's washed, it never looks worn out—maintaining its elegant color is a unique characteristic of indigo denim.

This light ounce denim, slightly lighter than the 6.5, has a distinct texture and feels lightweight when worn. Like the 6.5, this light ounce denim is slowly woven on vintage power looms that have been operating since the 1950s.
