Drawing inspiration from the Hawaiian language, where "HUA" symbolizes fruits, we intricately depict them through the art of indigo discharge printing.
Indigo discharge printing, a technique where patterns are created by removing dye, resembles the subtle contrasts of ink wash paintings. Employing 4 to 6 screens or more, we meticulously craft each layer to achieve the desired depth and nuance. To accentuate the fruits, we apply an additional layer of white pigment, enhancing their allure. Our Aloha skirts, showcasing the mastery of Japanese craftsmanship, possess a unique charm as their colors gradually fade with time, celebrating the beauty of aging.
