The silhouette, named Charlotte 5, is inspired by the poised stance of French architect Charlotte Perriand. A hanger loop, crafted from precious selvedge, allows for easy hanging and thoughtful storage. The inner lining, or “sober,” features a celestial motif—an image of a celestial maiden draped in heavenly robes. The signature “R” embroidery is dyed with Edo-zakura, a traditional Japanese plant-based dye.

Rye denim is a lighter, thinner fabric that can be worn year-round. It carries the rich texture of heavyweight denim, yet feels unexpectedly light—offering a healthier, more breathable alternative without compromising on depth of character. A true embodiment of 45R's Japanese craftsmanship.

We revisited the nuanced tones of our signature five-color palette to create a fresh new face for denim. The soft finish in Syou—a gentle, smoky hue—serves as a starting point for natural fading. Wear it often, wash it well, and let it evolve with you over time.
