The sheep of Shetland Island live resiliently in a harsh natural environment. Their outer wool is coarse—known to be the smallest in the world—while the inner wool is surprisingly fine. The yarn spun from this contrast of ruggedness and delicacy is strong, warm, and beautifully supple.
To enhance the texture even further, we applied a fulling process to give the fabric more depth and character. This is true Shetland wool—growing richer with time and wear.
