Indigo Lapis Dress

This long dress features gentle gathers at the neckline, creating a gracefully flowing silhouette. It is finished with a modest stand collar for a refined and elegant look.

Inspired by the traditional French toile de Jouy, we depicted blooming flowers in a free and expansive design. The indigo-dyed fabric, crafted using a discharge-dyeing technique, reveals a stunning gradient of blues—from the deep richness of lapis lazuli to soft, pale hues—imbuing the material with remarkable depth and character.

The indigo is 45R’s original "Nando" color, developed from our very first recipe. This slightly muted shade enhances the intricate patterns created by the discharge-dyeing process, showcasing the artistry and timeless elegance of Japanese craftsmanship.
