Jersey Flannel Dress

This dress features a straight silhouette with flared gathers. The flannel’s crisp texture creates a beautiful sway with every step.

For autumn at 45R, jersey flannel is a signature fabric. Flannel is a quintessential wool material, but our goal was to make it as comfortable and relaxed as a jersey, while still maintaining a formal touch.

Inspired by the rugged buffalo shirt, we used the reverse side of the fabric as the front and carefully adjusted the way the back threads run, resulting in a bold, raw shadow check. The unfinished edges are treated like selvedge, creating a fabric that’s distinctly 45R, reflecting our dedication to Japanese craftsmanship.
