Shetland Lace Frilled Cardigan

Inspired by an antique lace pattern discovered in a museum on the Shetland Islands, we created a design that is both rustic and delicate. This short-length cardigan features charming frills along the placket, adding a touch of femininity.

The sheep of the Shetland Islands, raised in harsh conditions, have coarse outer wool and an incredibly fine and soft undercoat. Shetland wool is not only durable and long-lasting, but it also softens with wear, becoming more comfortable over time. Even if pilling occurs, it’s easy to remove, and the fabric continues to adapt and soften. It truly embodies the essence of "the real deal" in Shetland wool, a material we hold dear at 45R, reflecting our commitment to Japanese craftsmanship.
